Established in 2019, the Longyearbyen Pride Festival is the world's northernmost Pride celebration, held annually in Longyearbyen, Svalbard.
The inaugural event was organized by Lene Jeanette Dyngeland, a Svalbard local who emphasized the importance of supporting the LGBTQ+ community, even in a small town.
The festival is inclusive for all and aims to promote acceptance and diversity within the community. It features a variety of events, including a vibrant Pride parade, film screenings, and social gatherings, fostering unity among residents and welcoming LGBTQ+ visitors to experience the unique culture of Longyearbyen.
